ABOUT
KURT W. KUEHNE
I am a University of Wisconsin-Madison Sociology PhD candidate focusing on international labor migration, urban sociology, and social marginalization.
My primary research project examines the economic and social precarity of South and Southeast Asian migrant workers in Singapore. I hold an MA in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an AB in Politics, magna cum laude, from Princeton University.

My research has been supported by UW-Madison graduate research fellowships, the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of State, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, American Institute of Bangladesh Studies, the 4W Initiative and Women’s Philanthropy Council, and various research centers.
